Bluetooth toothache,
By JMcL "JMcL" (Glasgow, Scotland) - See all my reviews The trouble starts with the camera and other multimedia items. I've only used the camera as I'm not fussed for music etc. on a phone. The camera works well enough outdoors but is poor indoors - this is acceptable for this price range. Trouble starts when trying to exchange files with your computer or laptop, which is a real pain in the proverbial. The USB port on the phone is not supported, so don't try buying a cable despite web sites offering to sell you one. This phone has no menu options to use USB for file transfer. I assume it's for firmware upgrade only. The bluetooth option is truly awful. Three of us, all tech savvy, spend a long time trying to get this to talk to any other device (phones, laptops, PC bluetooth dongle, Vista, XP and every permutation). We thought the bluetooth wouldn't transfer files at all but found it is just very unreliable. I would estimate you must try every operation (pairing then each subsequent file transfer) at least six times in the hope of it working eventually. The upshot - it takes half an hour to download a couple of snapshots - life's too short for this. This is definitely a fault with this phone because all our other phones, laptops and PCs can connect to each other almost every time. I also tried the sync software from Nokia's web site, which was a complete waste of time for this phone - don't even bother (it might work better with other Nokia products, particularly with a reliable USB connection). In summary, if you just want a phone and texting device, this works fine, but you can get this functionality much more cheaply from a handset without a camera. If you want photo and audio transfer capability, avoid this phone like the plague unless you enjoy the frustration of total bluetooth toothache. Remember, a camera is useless if you can't copy the files off of the phone onto your PC without losing the will to live.

A nice phone, but with some bad points,
By Mitdish (Hertfordshire, UK) - See all my reviews The camera is useless because its resolution is so poor, I can't get the radio to tune in to anything at all, the first time I plugged the headset that came with it into the phone it arrogantly told me "Enhancement not supported", but seemed to have got used to it somehow the second time I tried and accepted it without question. Unlike some other reviewers I've had no problems at all with Bluetooth connectivity though, and downloaded a few favourite ring tones from my PC in very short order. However I don't like the flimsy little pull up then twist flap which covers the charging and headset sockets and don't expect that will last for long before it snaps off. The menus are confusing to begin with because this phone uses icons but without a touchscreen and the internet access menu baffled me completely. This is a phone which rates highly on looks in my opinion (it's a dead ringer for the 2730 which costs about three times as much, so poseurs on a limited budget will obviously be interested in it - until someone in the know asks if they can use the Satnav which the 2730 has got but this phone hasn't!), unfortunately it falls down on functionality and user friendliness.

BLISS,
By good camera and bluetooth connection. Probably would not impress the youngsters, but for us 50+ I think it's unbeatable.
