The Gathering have been around for a number of years and enjoy an avid following. Great musicians, wonderful (and ballsy) female vocalist and they rock! But they also write great songs and are a real experience live. This double-disc album finds them on form in front of an extremely enthusiastic audience. The sound quality is first class and the 2-hour set covers their best stuff from their best albums. Recommended (and worth taking a chance on if you like your rock on the progressive side). This set would be a good beginning if you are unfamiliar with The Gathering - the warning is that you're likely to want to collect more of their albums after you hear this!
