Enjoy The Silence 20 Feb 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm currently running two of these fans on my Noctua NH-U12P SE2 CPU cooler (they were included in the box, which is tremendous value). Even running at full speed, they're amazingly quiet. Build quality is excellent and the supplied cables will cover you for anything you need.

Yesterday, I installed a few spare Antec fans in the various other holes in my Coolermaster 830 and couldn't believe the noise.......so I replaced two of them with some spare Thermaltake ones I had lying around, which will do for the time being. Looks like I'll be buying another four NF-P12s in the near future though!

And to the people that complain about the Noctua brands colours of choice.....I think they look lovely!!

A lot more for less 15 Mar 2012
By Lofty
I purchased two of these fans for my Fractal design Define R3 case. I can run these fans at half the voltage I was running the stock fans at, and get better temps at the same time. Needless to say, my PC is quieter than having my fans running at full speed. Under normal noise conditions, I can barely hear the fans. They are however, audible when I have silent conditions in my room. Nothing annoyingly loud however, but audible just the same. I doubt you can shift this amount of air without having some kind of noise, so I see this as a trade off. I have mine on at around 6-7 volts, so I can shift plenty of air, and have them relatively quiet. A fair trade off in my opinion. I could have them more silent by lowering the voltage, using my fan controller, but am enjoying the lower temps far too much. Yes, they are a little on the pricey side, but I still recommend them.

Quality product, Nice and quiet fans that made significant reductions to case and component temps. Sound absorbing attachments are particularly useful for side fan installation (which can be prone to high pitch vibration sounds)
