I bought two of these to replace the stock fans on a Antec Kuhler H2O 920, cooling an i7 3770K, not currently overclocked (breaking in the Arctic Silver 5), but I have confidence that this cooling solution will more than handle it.
The fans are more than I could have hoped for; quieter than the (very quiet) Kuhler pump at low speeds, running down to about 120 RPM, and still pretty quiet at full tilt, achieving a steady average 1500 RPM with less than the stated 10% variation. The comparison to the stock fans supplied with the Kuhler is stark, in addition to being far quieter, the sound at top speed is subjectively 'more pleasant'; a background hum rather than an aircraft throttling up for take-off!
The accessories supplied with this fan are second-to-none. The short cables fitted to the fan worked perfectly with the connectors from the Kuhler, allowing tidy cable management, but the neatly sheathed extensions came in handy for tidying the cabling for the other case fans away behind the motherboard tray. The Y-connector would be very useful if you had fewer PWM headers on your motherboard than case fan mounting options, and the LNA (Low Noise Adapter) if your motherboard did not allow you to limit the top speed. The mounting options are similarly well thought out, with vibration damping mounting cones to complement the (removeable) silicone corner mounts on the fan itself, as well as conventional fan screws.
If I had to find anything at all wrong with these fans the only thing I could mention would be that the silicone corner mounts made it slightly tricky to get the mounting bolts for the radiator engaged, as they add a little extra width.Read more ›

If you want cooling with quiet you are going to have to pay a premium price. This is without doubt the best 120mm case fan you can buy if your mobo supports PWM. At low temperatures it is inaudible and at higher temperatures it rises to a whisper. I am so pleased with mine I have decided to buy another to replace an Arctic unit in the back of my case.
Don't cheap out on your fan - buy this one.

I bought 2 of these and they work exactly as expected. I am using them on a radiator and they are near silent. The power cables are really short on the fan, however the included cable extensions mean that you can put them almost anywhere in your case. The built in rubber corners do a good job at minimising vibration. The fans even come with a y connector, allowing you to power 2 fans at once.
The one issue though is that you will notice the sound of your existing fans if you do not replace these as well.

Its a LOT of money for a fan lets face it. The fancy packaging says its a quality product not a commodity one when you open the package, it includes rubber anti-vibration mounts and plenty of cable extensions and splitters to fit any case. Very quiet in operation, seem to move plenty of air, a massive improvement for me over the fans that came with my case.

Two of these replaced four Corsair performance edition fans which I bought a week earlier and these run about 750rpm slower, much much much quieter, and keep everything so so much cooler. They come with outstanding packaging and I couldn't recommend them more. They push a lot more airflow than they seem to.
