My favourites are the radio edit and the acoustic track. The video is the one which seems to be a take on the mad hatters tea part from Alice in wonderland. This is the one I hoped for, it didn't seem clear from the product description that it would be but I suppose the clue was in the cover picture. However I hadn't seen that bit in the youtube video.
Part of the lyrics are, 'I know it's time that I learnt to treat the people I love like I wanna be loved'. I also value this concept. It is known as the Golden rule which is part of humanity's moral core. Wisdomcommons talks about this and so does Valerie Tarico in her excellent book, 'Trusting doubt' p247 'The ethics of reciprocity'. I also love the writings of Robert M. Price, 'The reason driven life' which are witty and calm.
I admire the lyrics of 'Nobody's perfect' which say "I hate that I let you down and I feel so bad about it" which I think is better, due to being more specific, than the common phrase, "I hate you". What is really meant is, " I hate what you did/said there" or "He has done/said many things that I really hate" or "I'm really annoyed/upset that you did that"or "I wish that you would be like this....I wish you would treat me like this....I think you should do this....". Maybe the key is to be specific and comment on the individual action/idea in terms of your emotions/feelings rather than name calling.
