I had the double vinyl of this way back and really enjoyed it, but sold it when I went over to cd. When they released it initially on cd it was a single album with tracks cut out, I was gutted. Then praise be they reissued it as a double. I can't seee why it gets bad press, they are all steaming on this even though there may have been tensions. Gillian is having fun and joking with the crowd and Blackmore is his usual sullen, brilliant self. This is a great live cd with bags of energy and guts. Maybe Live in japan was a hard act to follow, but this chronicles a more mature band revisiting their great back catalogue and also throwing in some new stuff. If you liked the 2 reunion albums then this is also for you as well as die hard fans

Strange. A live album where the best track is a studio cover of a cover they did in 1968. And 'Hush' is good. Shame you have to wade through the live stuff first.
