I bought this to control XBMC running on a spare Ubuntu 9.10 PC. Its early days yet but the good news is it works straight from the box with no real set up at all although I did load LIRC from the package manager before connecting the IR reciever. So far so good...

Not bad does the job 13 Jan 2011
I bought this a while ago its not a bad remote. Doesn't do some of the things I want it to. I contacted the manufacturer using their email address on their website but it came back with an undelivered message so I wouldn't expect much support on it if it breaks.

I am running Windows Media Center on Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit).

The remote comes with everything needed (batteries included!) although the USB cable for the receiver is a bit too short and I'll need an extender for that. Work straight away, The book that comes with describes how to program the remote to perform operations that affect your TV, this should be ideal to have the remote adjust the volume on the TV instead on the PC.

Looks and build wise, its a really good choice when you look at other remotes that are out there at the moment.
