I am really disappointed that the english verison of all 7 books will not be in a book trunk like the usa's. Are the books the same in usa as here, just a different cover? As I may order from amazon.com
I totally agree! From reading other messages on this topic the American books aren't exactly the same - they have some text replaces with 'American equivalents' and the first book is called HP and the Sorceror's stone! I'd love to know if you can get the English version as a special edition with the trunk??
Having read some e-books of the american copies, its more than just the odd word changed, its also certain grammar changed, which in English English is wrong, which I found quite annoying to read at times
There are few differences in the English and the American books. I am American and live in America, and own both versions of the books. There are differences besides the grammar, chapter pictures, and covers. There is almost a whole page that is in the US version of Half-Blood Prince that is not in the English versions. Dean Thomas is not mentioned more than once in Philosopher's Stone but is in Sorcerer's Stone quite a few times. There are differences.
