Indeed, they have changed the cover photo, but that's for those listening in braile. The knockout thing about this 'bonus re-issue' is it's everything The Who's 'Live At Leeds' re-issue/expanded CD wasn't. Live albums, especially benchmark live albums like 'NSTH' and 'Live At Leeds' need to be re-issued in their orginal form AND THEN have the bonus cuts afterwards or on a 2nd CD. 'Live At Leeds' was simply re-issued as the original gig was played. Whilst this was all fine and dandy, WE WERE USED TO THE ORIGINAL, AND IT WAS MOST FAMOUS AS IT WAS, so the old saying of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" was obviously in Sanctaury's mind when they put this together, because you have THE ORGINAL TRACKS AS WAS, plus the bonus cuts / out-takes after THE BIT THAT'S MOST FAMOUS. And even though the quality twitters a bit on some of the extras, THE FANS LOVE IT. Not so with 'Live At Leeds,' the original was best and always will be, but here they got it right, because we have 'the classic album' and some - just the jobby!

This is simply on of the greatest metal live albums ever.
Like Judas Priest`s "Unleashed in the East" the original album was short and sweet and unbelievably paced. All the best songs from the early Motorhead albums are here kicking off with "Ace of spades" and "Stay clean", never letting up via "Overkill", "(We are) The road crew" and "Bomber" right up to the show ending climax of "Motorhead". The simplicity of the no frills production will keep it fresh sounding forever. Now the track list is expanded without losing any of the power. Also included is a second disc of different shows with almost the same tracklist as CD 1. However, you will rarely listen to it as the recording are far poorer and there is no way it will ever be anything other than something to compare the original to. My only complaint is that they`ve altered the classic front cover, albeit to a very similar photograph. One to bang your head to.

A vintage period of live and double-live LP's, complete with glorious gatefold sleeves, concert photos, tour dates and songs so much longer and better than their studio counterparts [or in the case of the mighty Priest - maybe not that much different - sorry lads]

Oh yes, I almost forgot - probably the rawest, loudest, most in yer face and conceivably the best of a very very good bunch - Motörhead's defining moment - No Sleep `til Hammersmith - a superb live collection of the bands impressive tunes to date.

I bought the LP, I bought this new expanded 2CD and I suggest you do too - every collection should have one.
