A girl who needs to undo the past.
A boy who wants to forget it.
In love, there's no way back.

At high school in Steep Hill, Kansas, Cassie O'Malley and Josh MacBride were the poster couple for quarterback/cheerleader romance until they starred in their own tale of teen pregnancy. No need to say: their shotgun wedding was low-key. But when there was no baby anymore, they went their separate ways.

Five years later, Josh has breezed through Georgetown and is about to finish his post-grad degree at Oxford University. He is set to join a lobbying group on Capitol Hill, owned by his new fiancée's father. For Josh, the sky is now the limit... only he must first take care of a tiny legal matter: technically, he's still married to the girl who broke his heart.

Meanwhile, Cassie has been waiting tables in Steep Hill to pay for her sick grandmother's care. On the day of the old lady's funeral, Cassie is served with two sets of papers. Josh is asking for a divorce. Her heart squeezes, but, well, he moved on a long time ago. But the second envelope shakes Cassie to the core. So, for the first time, she leaves Kansas and heads to good ol' England.

There, Cassie finds that Josh has not just "moved on," he's freakin' engaged to some blue-blooded heiress. The feelings Cassie had buried deep rush back to her. But no matter if he keeps thrusting the divorce papers under her nose, she needs him to save the only person she loves more than Josh, more than life itself...

~ EXCERPT from NO REVERSE, copyright 2013 Marion Croslydon ~
"I guess old habits die hard."

I ignored his plea. "What do you
mean by that?"

"I haven't changed as much as I thought, as
much as I tried to... Whenever you get close, I have to get closer."

I muffled a yelp.

I blinked.

I hadn't expected his words, not
now, not ever. I hadn't expected for Josh's soul to walk stark naked  in front
of me. The fact he'd let it happen made me giddy. My knees went weak.

"The truth, Cass, the truth is
that I've missed you. I've missed our friendship. I've missed talking to you,
laughing with you, teasing you." He chuckled but his smile was sad. "Because
when you sing about home, it makes me think of you."

He hunched over and his
shoulders drooped. My sight got blurry. I forced myself to stay put. But who
was I kidding? No matter what the sensible part of my brain was yelling at me,
I couldn't hear it because I'd switched it off.

When Josh looked up at me, I
tensed my body to ward off shaking. He was hurting, hurting for me. I took a
step. Two steps, until I stood next to him, so close his breath smoothed over
my face. The heat between us tingled at my skin.

He was so tall, so broad, so
strong. And still, I could feel his pain, a pain only I could heal. I curved my
body into him, and as soon as our chests touched he shuddered and stiffened.
But when my forehead leaned against his jaw, the tension in him went away. His
arms moved as if he wanted to wrap them around me but then changed his mind.

I wanted him to cuddle me. Just
a cuddle, a moment of him I could take with me. I shut my eyes and breathed in
the scent of his skin. I let it wake my memories of our first time under the
cotton tree and I wanted to taste his lips again. I stared up at him. His gaze
was lowered, and my hands reached up to cup his face. I went on my tip-toes.
Even then, because of his height, I had to tilt back my head to look at him.

My fingers brushed at his
cheeks, slid along his neck, buried themselves in his hair. I moved even closer
until the tip of my nose touched his. I heard the sound of his breath trapped
in his throat. Our eyes locked. I moved my face against his in our secret way,
our kiss without a kiss. But it wasn't enough. In his next breath, his mouth
reached for mine.

There was no foreplay, no
tugging, no teasing. Our tongues collided like at war.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great and different romance 17 Aug 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
The storyline of this book is not something I have seen before in a New Adult romance. Cassie and Josh were high school sweethearts but after a pregnancy, shotgun marriage and an abortion they went their separate ways. After 5 years Josh wants a divorce so Cassie goes to visit him in England as she has a secret she has been hiding from him.

At first I was confused by Cassie's motives as I was surprised she was so unwilling to let Josh go after such a long time but everything makes itself clear in the end. I loved the secret/twist in this book as it added another unique element. This book also keeps you on your toes with lots of twists and turns so that you aren't sure how it will end. Like real life it isn't simple.

I loved the connection between Cassie on Josh. They were each others first true loves and haven't lost that even after 5 years. Due to the nature of their break up their passion never fading nor were either of them able to let go and move on. They have great chemistry and though they have a troubled past together you will most likely find yourself rooting for their relationship.

This book had some great secondary characters. Two I liked so much that I wish the book had ended differently. Josh's fiancée Lenor is the exact opposite to Cassie, she is rich, posh and privileged but she is also incredibly nice and hard to dislike. She is also head over heels in love with Josh and nothing, not even a wife she never knew about, will change that. Sam is gorgeous, sexy and incredibly sweet. I look forwards to seeing more about these characters in future books by this author.

No reverse has a sequel but the ending isn't a cliff hanger and the characters get their happily ever after for now. I would recommend No Reverse to all New Adult romance fans.

A story about love, sacrifice and second chances, NO REVERSE is a heartwarming, angst filled novel with some amazing characters and a solid plot!

After reading the blurb for this book I knew straight away that I was going to like it, and I was right! This story sucked me in with an easy reading, flowing dialogue and a story with a good mix of angst and drama.

I really liked that this book was in a dual point of view as it really showed a much larger picture for both characters which I think was really needed considering everything that was going on in this story. This along with going between past to present really showed a full story of how everything between Cassie and Josh played out. I loved getting to see how the couple's relationship came to be and see it progress while also getting to see how they are now. It really made me root for them and want things to work out.

"After you, no one was ever enough."
"After you, there was no one."

After the death of her grandmother Cassie is ready to leave the small town she grew up in and finally chase her dreams of being a singer. However, just before she goes to leave she finds out some unexpected news that changes everything and causes her to reassess her past choices. I feel very half and half about Cassie. Although in theory the things she did for Josh were very noble, in reality they were never very realistic. She was always going to have to tell him at some point what had happened in the past, and why she chose to do the things she did, and her reasoning annoyed me a little bit as I didn't feel that she had the right to make those choices for him.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real tear-jerker! 12 Aug 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Originally given 4.5 hearts at The Rookie Romance Blog.

So many emotions! This had me crying almost constantly from beginning to end, I was just so emotional. Honestly, a total rollercoaster, but I enjoyed the ride!

Cassie and Josh were childhood sweethearts, and then Cassie fell pregnant. A quiet wedding followed, until there was no baby and they fell apart. Years later, and their lives couldn't be more different. Cassie has spent years waiting tables in her dead-end hometown to help look after her sick grandmother, whilst Josh's illustrious college career has taken him from Georgetown to Oxford, England.
When Cassie's grandmother dies, it's time for Cassie to find Josh and ask for his help. Unfortunately, Josh is more than ready to move on from his past, and wants nothing more than a divorce from Cassie so he can marry Lenor, his heiress fiance. But Josh finds the past is not so easily forgotten, and Cassie needs him

My heart just bled for Cassie. She's one of the strongest people I've read about for a while. She's not always made the best choices, but she made the choices she thought was right for everyone. When she goes to find Josh, she doesn't do it for them, but for someone else. She ignores how much she still loves Josh, and just tries to focus on doing what she has to do. (It sounds a bit cryptic, but I'm not giving away any spoilers.)

Josh has moved on from Cassie, but when she shows up on his doorstep, he realises he never really forgot her. He's engaged to Eleanor (Lenor) and he loves her, but Cassie was always his first love. Josh has some incredibly hard decisions to make and is faced with some unexpected home truths. When Cassie left him, he was completely devastated and the hurt and anger has stayed with him, years later.
