5.0 out of 5 stars Explains a lot., 22 Mar 2009
No More Mr. Nice Guy is for those of us who need help in taking control of our lives, esp. when it comes to dealing with women. It's not about becoming an alpha male, per se, it's more about being assertive when necessary and doing what's right for us. A good read that can help explain a lot. Another good one: How To Be The Man Women Want: The Get More Confidence and Meet Better Women Guide To Dating.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the bible, 20 Feb 2004
By A Customer
This book is about taking control of your life. It's about standing up for being a bloke. It's about getting what you want by setting boundaries. I have read lots of books. This is the best. It tells you why you are so dependant on the approval of females.

I recommeded it to a lot of my male friends and we now refer to it as "The Bible" It's not about being nasty. It's about being strong and you. It's a simple read. All the best stuff is. If you want to be in charge of you. Buy it

5.0 out of 5 stars A Layperson's Guide to Male Codependency, 6 April 2005
By A Customer
This book was recommended to me whilst I was struggling to pull myself together after a very difficult relationship. What startled me most about this book was how much it hit the nail on the head regarding how bad I felt about myself as a person and how that had led me to accept a relationship that was very harmful to me.

The most valuable contribution to my own recovery was it's repeated reference to the sense of shame that many men feel - especially those who have grown up in a Feminist world - and how that - if unacknowledged - can control our lives to the detriment of ourselves and those around us.

It's not about trying to be a jerk but, rather, about learning to accept who we are and affirming that we are valuable and worthwhile in spite of the emotions that lead us to believe otherwise.
