Product Description

Product Description

This controversial e-book phenomenon became a best-seller and landed its author, a certified marriage and family therapist, on The O'Reilly Factor and the Rush Limbaugh radio show. Dr. Robert Glover has devoted his career as a psychotherapist to freeing men from what he was dubbed the "Nice Guy Syndrome"-trying too hard to please others while neglecting their own needs, thus causing unhappiness and resentfulness. It's no wonder that unfulfilled Nice Guys lash out in frusteration at their loved ones, claims Dr. Glover. He explains how they can stop seeking approval and start getting what they want in life, by presenting the information and tools to help them ensure their needs are met, to express their emotions, to have a satisfying sex life, to embrace their masculinity and form meaningful relationships with other men, and to live up to their creative potential.

A Worthwhile Purchase 15 Aug 2009
Format:Hardcover
The book helped me to understand that behaving the way I have been is not the key to a success or happiness. I liked the book because it has plenty of activities to encourage you to think about your behaviour and start to do something about it. Not all of the activities appealed to me, but there are enough to choose from. It is written in a very down-to-earth style which makes it easy to read and relate to.

Life saving book 12 Sep 2010
By Dan
Format:Hardcover
When I started reading No more Mr nice guy I almost immediately realised that I'm a nice guy. Being a nice guy has done really bad things to my life, and this book contains concrete tips and tricks on how to change that outlook on life.

According to the author a "nice guy" is basically pretending to be nice and do whatever others expect of him, while being angry or upset over them not living up to their part of the deal; a deal that the counterparty was never told existed. More or less a different way of describing passive-aggressive behaviour.

The book explains what a nice guy is, and (most importantly) contains exercises for the reader so that he can change his life for the better.

Personally still working on the early exercises, but definitely a life saver. Recommended!

Brief
I highly rate this book, even if it doesn't directly sound like you need it, it reasons on mannerisms
and possible causes of relationship situations in review to oneself.
