Book Description

22 Feb 2012
Is there life after death? Could there possibly be a more important question facing mankind than this? Can you think of one? After all all of us eventually will die. There are no options about this and there is definitely no escape. It is the only thing you can predict in your life with absolute certainty. Nobody gets out of this world alive. If you do happen to believe in life after death; then you are not alone. The belief that life of some description carries on after we die is a worldwide concept accepted as a reality by billions of people across the planet; from western religious devotees and eastern mystics, right through to primitive tribesmen in the Amazon jungle and one which people believe in wholeheartedly regardless of the fact that they have no personal proof of it themselves whatsoever. Author John Seaton used to be one of them. However after many years of intensively studying and pondering this most elusive question from every conceivable angle and equation he has come to a very different set of conclusions concerning the true facts behind what is a deeply mysterious subject. 'No Happy Endings' is the result. A sceptical, uncompromising and perhaps rather controversial overview of the entire life after death, spiritualism and organized religion scenario. An indepth exploration of the whole messy business that makes it clear from the start that no stone will be left unturned in search of the truth; regardless of how much offence, shock and dismay the contents may cause. Whether the reader agrees with the ultimate conclusions laid out in this book is not the issue. The author does not expect everybody to concur with his arguments although he would certainly like to hear some answers if you believe that he is mistaken! At the very least 'No Happy Endings' is a book that should ultimately give you plenty of food for thought. Not to mention some very sleepless nights!

1.0 out of 5 stars Self promoting egotists- avoid 23 Jun 2014
Format:Paperback
This guy is not content with lying and trying to give his own book a 5 star review, he then viciously attacks and threatens someone just for pointing it out. Meanwhile he's spamming this awful tawdry tedious book all over the discussion forums. Here is a book so dull that if it were to be read aloud in the open air birds would fall stunned from the sky. Avoid it, and it's supercilious 'author' at all costs.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on the afterlife that I have read! 4 Feb 2010
By Vivian Feltz - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
We all wonder what there may be in store for us after we die. There are so many religions out there but most believe in some sort of eternal place of bliss or at least reincarnation until we deserve true bliss. And wouldn't that be wonderful? Most of us stick with the religions of our parents because they raised us that this is the truth. However, they also told most of us that Santa and the tooth fairy were real too because it made us happy and anticipatory. And it made us behave or we wouldn't be rewarded. As adults, you would think we would realize the fantasies of heaven were also established so we would be good people and also have something to strive for and not feel that once we die, we are just that, simply gone. It is extremely depressing not to believe there is more!

Mr Seaton covers all the bases in this book from psychics to reincarnation to heaven and the realization of eternity. Even if you were to go to such a blissful afterlife--this is eternity. Man is easily bored--what would we do for eternity?

Whether you agree with the author or just have borderline beliefs/doubts or even if you are dyed in the wool religious, this book will get you wondering and realizing. If you have any sense of logic at all and are willing to admit it, this book is worth your time to read. The author says he is open to debate so I recommend it to believers (in whatever branch of religion) as well as to agnostics and atheists.
