Here's why. The physique achieved by Antonio is no mean feat. This book shows you how you can build a great physique by being moderate and commonsensical; without resorting to pills, supplements and fancy diets; and without lifting weights which may be too heavy for your own good.
It's refreshing how Antonio departs from the usual oft-cited bodybuilding "wisdom" out there. Conventional bodybuilding techniques teach you to use heavy weights and to have rests in between these heavy sets. However, using heavy weights do not necessarily translate into muscles. Antonio believes in using intensity to build muscles - that means using lighter weights but moving quickly from set to set and without excessive rest. If you have trouble lifting the weights, then it is too heavy for your body, and you should use lighter weights, says Antonio.
What I was impressed by was the fact that Antonio achieved his physique without resorting to any fancy diet, supplement or pill.
Antonio also believes in keeping in shape all year round. So there is no such thing as an "off-season" to him and neither is there a need for him to "get in shape again". The mental attitude adopted by him is truly inspiring. Antonio helps you to rid yourself of all excuses to get yourself in shape.
All I have said so far is already worth half the price of the book. The photos in this book are worth the other half. There are lots of photographs of Antonio Sabato Junior's great physique and him in action working out.
If you like to get in shape but don't know how, I recommend that you get this book.
On the negative side, Sabato makes you figure out which body exercises to do. I would have preferred seeing sample sets for given days. Also, the book is expensive for 144 pages. Had it been less or if Amazon would provide a bigger discount (and beat their competitors-hint!) I would have rated it 5 stars.
