I've had the pleasure of hearing the full album and I must say, I can't wait for my copy to arrive.
It's an amazing collection of real songs,.... real music for those of us that still appreciate it!
There are several standout tracks for me, `Maria' with Snake Davis on the sax is very good, the title track, James Ingram's `No Easy Way' is also great (although those of us than know Danny may have hoped for `Just Once' instead!), there is an excellent arrangement of The Calling's `Wherever You Will Go', Snake Davis makes another appearance on the classic Bobby Caldwell tune `What You Won't Do For Love' (can you tell, i'm a fan of the sax!) and the album finishes off with a great version of `Somewhere Down The Road'. Those are just my personal favourites, the rest of the album is pretty damn good too! Daniel has even managed to put the dreaded autotune to good use on the interlude track.
All in all, this is a very listenable album, whatever your musical taste, and if you love great music sung with passion, you will love this.
If your only experience of Daniel Evans is through the X Factor, you owe it to yourself to give this album a listen.
