A classic anthem 20 Aug 2007
Format:Vinyl
This is a superb re recorded version of the song first recorded by Arcade Fire on their debut EP. The music has a simple melody which really catches and the multi layered instrumentation is inspired. An indie rock drum/base line drives the song along with layers and textures of strings, horns, accordions, keyboards and lead and even a choir at the end. It works in the car and stands serious listening loud on high end HI FI. Anyone who was present during the 2007 Glastonbury set or who watched on telly will recognise this as it was spellbinding live. The only possible criticism is that it finishes too quickly at under 6 minutes, it feels like it needs an extended run to make it a proper classic. You will not be disappointed

Self Indulgent Jammy Remake 17 April 2011
By J. Duncan - Published on Amazon.com
I have been listening to Arcade Fire since their first release titled Arcade Fire which was an outstanding record and one incidentally you can't download, it has to be purchased as a CD but is well worth it. On 'Arcade Fire' they did 'All Cars Go' and it was an amazing song. I lost that CD years ago and was trying to get the single, praying it was the version off the first record but it wasn't. The remake goes off on a tangient and takes unnecessary liberties and 'artistic license' which in my opinion totally ruins the song. If you even kind of like 'All Cars Go' you need to get the first record and check out that version. Why they thought it would be a good idea to redo a perfect song is beyond me.
