Our Nite Ize SpotLit LED is the perfect mini-beacon whenever you need a little help in the dark. Set in a lightweight stainless steel carabiner, it attaches quickly and securely to key rings, jackets-just about anything with a hook or zipper. Its long-lasting LED bulb provides an ambient glow bright enough for everything from reading fine print to finding your car door keyhole. Attached to things like tent lines and camping gear, it provides instant location of hazards and necessities; attached to your person (jacket, backpack, running belt) it tells other people where you are, when they might not otherwise see you. Choose from two modes: press once for steady glow, twice for continuous flash. Water-resistant, long-life, replaceable battery included. New for 2012: The SpotLit is now available in colorful, eye-catching Pink, Orange, and Lime Green plastic powered by a bright white LED. The result is a fun & functional new option that still provides the high quality LED illumination you love about the SpotLit!

I have since bought two CatEye LED Loop Light's (LD110R) for bikes, the downside is that they don't have the excellent carabiner style clip of the NiteIze Spotlit, but I've found a way to attach them to our rugsacks. They are a little brighter and slightly larger in size, most importantly they are completely reliable.
I have found one way of helping with the intermittent switch problem (which does get worse if the battery is low). But only after warranty period! Take out both batteries, fold a bit of aluminium foil (4 layers is enough on ours) so that it is a flattish disc/square smaller than the diameter of the battery compartment. Place on lower part of compartment, put first battery on top taking care not to push the foil out, then slide the other battery above the first battery. The extra metal layer seems to help keep the switch on.
This works with two of our collar lights and has extended their useful life considerably.
Very bright and easy to use.
Good solid clip fixes to my dogs collar with one click.
Clicking the light once makes it slowly cycle through a range of colours while clicking twice makes it flash red.
I usually use the red flashing light while walking near roads and the coloured cycle when she is running around the local fields.
The light is bright enough to see her across a quite large field.
If you walk your dog in the dark I would recommend this light for it's bright light and good solid construction.
It was also delivered very quickly.

Love this, I bought it to clip to the dogs harness for evening walks. Slightly more expensive than some of the others but 100% worth it. Read morePublished 10 days ago by Charlotte
