Highly recommended. Easy to install, the LED module replaces the existing bulb and the switch replaces the standard end-cap.
Compared to a standard Mini Mag the light from this is much brighter and whiter and battery life is extended.
Not cheap, however, so for professional use look at the LED Lenser range. Note that you also lose some focus capability and the ability to use the torch as a candle, but you can always put the old bulb back in for this. Also I'm not sure about the switch modification, but you don't have to use this.

This is a neat device which with a bit of a fiddle, can be reasonably easily retro fitted to an existing Maglite. If you leave the front glass in place (recommended), the lamp section does not screw back completely onto the main body of the torch. In wet situations this can be a problem as the watertight seal is less effective. However - the light output is much greater as claimed, as is the battery life, so its worth the investment.

This upgrade is a very cool bit of kit and does exactly what it says on the tin; makes the torchlight a hell of a lot brighter than the standard bulb, and the push-button switch just makes life a little easier.
Two top-tips though:
1) re-assembling the torches' innards is a real pain, I had to go online and find some plans to see just how the fiddly little bits went back together.
2) do not look directly into the light to see how much more powerful it is! I was seeing spots for hours afterwards! Lol.
