By 1993, Nirvana was in a state of disarray. Having kick-started the grunge phenomenon two years earlier, the band were now keen to return to their roots. The extraordinary music which resulted from this impulse was the most punk-rock the band ever recorded. 'Nirvana - In Utero; A Classic Album Under Review' is a documentary film which revisits and re-assesses this startling record, and with the use of archive footage and contributions from those around at the time, concludes that the band s final studio work is arguably their finest of all.

A great dvd 4 July 2007

I love the album In Utero, still when I came across this DVD i thought a documentary sounded a bit dull, I bought it anyway though because i'm always keen to learn more about Nirvana. I was very pleasantly suprised, the documentary was very well put together, and I would say it certainly did the band and the album justice. If you're a Nirvana fan, this is a must for your collection.

This is basically a bunch of critics talking about songs from In Utero with horrible quality footage of Nirvana playing at MTV's Live & Loud in '93.

Nothing 'new' just a bunch of British people yaking on and on about stuff you already have heard before.

Blah blah.

Interview with Chad Channing on the beach is the highlight-although he doesn't say much
