5.0 out of 5 stars If you Like Calm Music and Chess, This is Your Game , 5 Jul 2008
Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Wii Chess is a game which lets you play chess up to 10 different levels.
Effortless 1 to almost impossible 10.
This fantastic game also lets you connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi which enables you to play with other people online.
You can find a matched opponent which takes long or anyone which sometimes take long.
Not many people are ever online, you do get the odd 1 or 2 but this is more of playing the computer game and of course you can also play 2 player against each other.
There is also a nice way of choosing Black or White in this game.
Against the computer you can choose random to do this and a pawn will come up onto your screen and flash black and white really fast and then it stops, you might have to press A.
For 2 players I haven't tried but this is probably random to make it fair.
When you are playing a match there is also calm music playing in the background but on the Wii Chess menu there is nice lively music.

Overall this is a fun game for all ages but I recommend you have an adult with you to help you play chess; you can't go wrong with the coloured squares which determine where you can go.

I would recommend buying this game.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
10/10.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wii Chess: A Fair Review, 4 Feb 2008

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
The Wii series is home to some of the best value for money games on the Wii. Wii Sports: An excellant package, fun for the whole family, comes bundled free with the console. Wii Play: A nice little bundle of shallow but fun games, and that's essentially a £5.00 game when you add the Wii Remote to it, so great value for money. Now there's a new kid on the block: Wii Chess. For hardcore chess fans who own a Wii this is a must, with fun On-and Offline multiplayer, and a variety of difficulty levels ranging from easy (1) to nearly impossible (10) so it is fun for those of all difficulty levels. It uses an extremely intelligent chess modem, something to give chess experts a run for their money. The only minor gripes are the lack of any motion sensitivity control, as it is played using the buttons on the Wiimote or the Classic Controller, and there is little to entice non-chess fans. (I mean, my brother loves chess but he still isn't prepared for the really difficult levels yet). And all this for just £16.98, another good value for money game. No, its not Super Mario Galaxy or Twilight Princess, but nevertheless a nice casual, Saturday afternoon game. Wii are having fun at my house now!

I have only tried playing against the computer but it is certainly one of the best chess games available.
Challenge the computer
Play against people online
if you're into chess this is a MUST.
