SAMURAI WARRIORS 3 SET TO GO INTO BATTLE EXCLUSIVELY ON Wii

Samurai Warriors 3 is an evolution of the Warriors series, featuring an innovative new game mode and a completely fresh new storyline.

In addition to a host of new characters, brand new combat and gameplay elements, the game will also test players with new tactical and strategic challenges on the battlefield.

Samurai Warriors 3 offers two-player online and offline co-op with enhanced sharing features. The game also unveils a special new game mode; based on the classic Nintendo Entertainment System game Nazo no Murasamejo (The Mysterious Murasame Castle), originally inspired by Shigeru Miyamoto. The new mode will offer players the chance to control characters never seen before outside of Japan.

Key Points
-New Characters
-New combat and gameplay elements
-2 player online and offline mode
-3 game modes: Musou Mode, Free Mode, and Castle Murasame Mode

Gameplay of Samurai Warriors

In the basic gameplay of Samurai Warriors, the player takes the role of a single officer in battle and must fend off hordes of enemy soldiers and defeat the enemy commander. The player has at their disposal a range of combo attacks and crowd-clearing special moves known as Musou attacks. The variety of attacks available increase as the character increases in level and gains new weapons.

Musou attacks can only be performed when the character's Musou gauge has filled up, which does so gradually when the player inflicts or receives damage. Additionally, if the player is low on health or possess a special skill, they can use their special True Musou attack which causes elemental damage in addition to normal damage as well as adds on a trio of attacks that cleans up the final few enemies in the vicinity. One difference between Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors is the ability to perform free-style combo attacks during Musou attack mode, during which the game enters bullet-time common soldiers move very slowly, however officers are unaffected. Other abilities that Samurai characters have over the Dynasty series include the ability to perform a roll to dodge attacks, and deflect incoming arrows with their weapon.

so much fun 4 Sep 2010
Fun:
This is a great game for the wii, i've seen someone play dynasty warriors before, so i can say it's pretty much that, it's got quite a lot of options to keep one playing, most characters have a different story line, all story lines have a few chapters, and most chapters start or end with videos that sets a nice atmosphere while playing, there's an option to set the spoken languages to either english or japanese (personally i prefere the japanese voices, but i do admit it's harder to understand while you're in the battlefield even though it's got a bunch of subtitles, it's hard to fight and read at the same time)
you don't start off with all the characters, so you earn rice to unlock characters, there's several playmodes, story, free, a castle mode and history, i haven't been able to try the online feature cause i have unstable wireless internet.
it can be played using all wii controllers, nunchuck, classic and gamecube controllers which i find is pretty cool
the difficulty settings are also quite well balanced, easy is quite easy, you slash through most enemies with ease, some missions that require you to defend an ally and force you to beat an opponent can still be quite tricky, and it's very hard to beat all the tactical bonuses in a round, so while it seems easy, you can't always wonder off alone

once you beat story mode once you get a 4th difficulty setting too, and i've tried it once, and i ended up dying after 3 hits, so even for hardcore gamers it'll be a nice game

i honostly can't really find a down side to this game...
maybe camera controll, but i never really bothered much about that cause you'll find yourself slashing away in massive enemy armies most of the time anyway
good fun and i gave this game a 5 star rating because of that, i've played it for almost 20 hours and i only did 6 story lines so far, with many more to follow.
definitely recommended to any wii owner

AMAZING!!!!!!! 12 Nov 2010
By Ben
Fun:
This game is amazing, being a really great Japanese battle game. The game, I believe, is set in 1600 in Japan and it really tells you a lot of what it was like then so it is also educational, telling you about the Japanese leaders and their power struggle. When you play the game it is thrill-packed with ninja skill, samurai sword and Kung Fu fighting. You can be many different charactors or create your own with a number of weapons of your choice. Then you go through a set story, depending on your character, until you have united Japan. The game play is great, the capabilities are fantastic and my only criticism is that though it has a multi-player facility, you cannot fight against each other.

AMAZING GAME - BUY IT NOW!!!!!
