Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The pink Game Boy Micro measures a mere 4 inches wide, 2 inches tall and 0.7 inches deep, allowing it to sit comfortably alongside today's hippest technological gadgets. It weighs an astonishing 2.8 ounces, or about the weight of 80 paper clips. Yet Game Boy Micro has the same processing power and plays the same games as Game Boy Advance SP models, complete with standard face controls and gleaming shoulder and Start/Select buttons that literally shine.

With Game Boy Micro, everyone plays with style. A removable face plate gives owners the option to buy replacements to customize the look of their systems again and again with new colours and designs. Most notably, its 2-inch backlit screen shines with incredible power, rendering games in startling clarity with fantastic colours on the best Game Boy screen ever. For the first time, users can adjust the brightness of the screen to adapt to indoor lights or outdoor sunshine.

No regrets 7 Jun 2007

Fun:
Any friends hearing i'm buying a new gameboy for nostalgic purposes thought i was buying too much on impulse, i already had an old gameboy advance -- yes, it was an impulse buy but not unwise.

Its fairly hard to judge from an internet picture, but once i got it i was relieved to find it was not a soft pink (which i have many critisms for) but just right. The face plates idea is genius, the dreaded feeling when you scatch your screen is gone for you can buy a new one.

The screen is great quality, and has made me enjoy game much more.

The only setbacks is its big incompatiablity with many things the old one was. For instance older games (though i knew that before i got it) and link cables etc.

But this is barely a setback considering i won't have to carry around a big one while getting as close to the window seat on trains as possible due to no backlight. Hoorah!

Snazzy & pink! 12 Dec 2005
Very thoughtful of Nintendo to produce a pink GBA micro straight from the off for us girlies. The colour is beautiful, but more of a forceful metallic pink rather than a tame rose, and the whole unit has a feeling of solidity and weight about it. Nevertheless it is tiny and will easily fit into your coat or even your jeans pocket. I bought mine for commuting and together with my MP3 it is the ideal commuting gaget. The screen is beautiful and although small its illumination is such that you get all the visual detail you require. And what can I say about the price? Ladies (and those gentlemen with a penchant for pink), this is a bargain.

Good Bits
Its feel of handling is comfortable and good. Inferface and software is most definitely user friendly - what you would expect from nintendo anyway. The quality of graphics are advanced keeping in mind the size of console itself. Its vesitile nature i.e. pocket size character is convienient to take anywhere.

Bad Bits
Size of screen is a major put off. You might think it is good value for money which no doubt it is...but definitely don't take lightly the size of the screen. For kids who have to wear glasses make sure they don't play this without their glasses. Such a miniscule size makes you hunt for the detail in the graphics - even though the details are present because of the good graphics. So a big let down due to size of screen, nevertheless if the size was abit bigger this could have been a great games machine.
