I purchased this after owning my DS since release. After using it nearly daily all that time, my battary was barely lasting an hour.
My battery life massively improved when I purchased this as a replacement.
Id advise anyone not wanting to buy a DSi to give their old DS a bit more life :)

I bought an origional DS online, it worked great but the batter drained in 40mins. This lasts for a good 3-4 hourse. Definately worth the price.
Note that you do need exteremly small 4 point screwdriver to open the barrery case.

Just the simple action of putting a longer life battery into my daughter's DS lite has meant that all of those tears when we're on the motorway, when the battery is drained, have quietly disappeared. About 33% better life, on standard, but about 66% better life than the worn-out one. Quick, easy and it recharges overnight just like the last one. Simple improvement, that's all!

Didn't even fit!
The battery was supposed to fit the Nintendo Ds lite, but when fitted it seemed that the battery didn't fit the device!

Does not fit DS lite
Purchasers should be aware that this battery did not fit our sons' DS lite - possibly it does fit a more recent type of DS, I don't know, but no use for us!
