Controls:
Intuitive control for anyone using the physical motion of the main Wii Remote, which resembles a television remote control. Up to four Wii Remotes can be connected at once using wireless Bluetooth technology. The wireless signal can be detected within 10 metres of the console. Both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk include a three-axis motion sensor. The Wii Remote also includes a speaker, rumble feature and expansion port, and can be used as a pointer within 5 metres of the screen. The Wii Remote has a Power switch, +Control Pad, A Button, B Button, - Button, + Button, Home Button and 1 and 2 Buttons. The Nunchuk includes an analogue control stick and C and Z Buttons.

A single self-loading media bay will play single or double-layered 12-centimetre optical discs for the Wii, as well as 8-centimetre Nintendo GameCube discs.
Communication: The Wii can communicate with the Internet even when the power is turned off. This WiiConnect24 service delivers a new surprise or game update, even if users do not play with Wii. Users can connect wirelessly using IEEE 802.11b/g, or with a Wii LAN adaptor. Wii can also communicate wirelessly with Nintendo DS.
Other features: Four ports for classic Nintendo GameCube controllers. Two slots for Nintendo GameCube Memory Cards. An AV multi-output port for component, composite or S-video.
Virtual Console: It has been more than 20 years since the debut of the NES. Since then, a rich heritage of different gaming platforms and countless games has come and gone. A wide selection of Virtual Console games is available to download from the Internet via the Wii Shop Channel.

This console is gorgeous in this brilliant red colour! Controller has Motion plus built in and the system looks really sleek in this colour! I would totally recommend it. Also worth it for the Mario game too. We are very happy with this item.

Really pleased with the Console . Its a fabulous bright red colour and worth it for the money! Would definatley recommend people to buy it as they are running out of stock fast. The games you get with it are also great. Only took 2 working days to come so really pleased with the item and the delivery.

Brought myself this for Christmas, shiny Red casing looks great in my lounge, having Motion plus built in is great too. Now maybe I will be able to keep up with if not win when I play my Grandchildren.

After holding out for a few years, the Wii was finally purchased for 6 and 8 year old noting that the new Wii u was coming out and PS3 and xbox360 are due for replacement in 2013. Whilst it is correct that graphics rendering capabilities is less than the other two, it still does a good job for family fun. Good selection of games to keep everyone involved and entertained so aiming to get a year or two full use before perhaps replacing with new PS or xbox. Swift delivery.

I bought the Wii a couple of years ago as i wanted a console to play on seeing as they stopped making games for the PS2 i had been playing on. It was great fun...i like games such as Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros and Goldeneye and they were fun to play with the Wii remote and nunchuk. The multi-player games on Wii Sports and other such games were great at partys and it is a really versatile console as you can use it with the Wii Fit board to train and get fit. I soon got busy at work though and the Wii got forgotten about so i sold it. It is an excellent console though.

Love the color! I bought it Second hand ( so cheaper) but it looks like new!
It was my Xmas present for my husband ( thinking of my kids at the same time) and since I have installed it they haven't stop playing the games! First time my kids and their dad spend so much time together!
The down side is that All the other Xmas presents are being ignored ...

This product has quickly risen in price since I bought it which might deter buyers, but let me assure you this console looks amazing in any room we put it! We hadn't bought a Wii until this release, even though we have been meaning to for a while. The games for Wii have vastly improved; New Super Mario Bros being one of the most manic titles to date!
I can't recommend a bundle more than this one, it's certainly been a hit with family and friends! The Official red remote motion+ might not be all that amazing, but it's probably the nicest colour remote I've seen, and plenty of friends envy it at parties.
Back to the games for the console, we've really enjoyed the new Super Mario, probably one of the most crazy multiplayer games ever, the new Goldeneye; which although is quite different to the original, it's an amazing modern take on this classic shoot-em-up! Finally we'd recommend Super Smash Bros Brawl, one of our favourite games.
I can't fault this bundle other than it's current price, but it could sore above that still! Bare in mind all the used values are now higher than the price we paid (as of 24/04/2011).

I decided to purchase the red special edition due to the games included in the package but have found that apart from the colour it really has nothing extra special to offer. The donkey Kong game that's included is the original game and looks like something from the 1980's, so have never played it.
The mario game was a nice bonus to receive but after a while the family grew bored and I had to purchase other games.
The console is great but the fact it's red doesn't add anything to the party.
