Nimitz Class - The start to a great selection of writing from Patrick Robinson. A very good and detailed account of what could happen out there in our supposedly "safe" seas.

The sequence of books to read are:
a) Nimitz Class
b) Kilo Class
c) HMS Unseen
d) Seawolf

You wont regret it! I couldn't put the damn things down until there were finished with :-)

The story is clever, the characters etc are good - however, the quality of the book is absolutely appalling. There are numerous errors on every single page (I counted 12 errors on just one page) and the typos regularly make the book difficult to read. Would strongly advise against purchasing the kindle edition for this reason.

If you're looking for a fast but indepth read along the lines of a military thriller come investigative cliff hanger then this is for you.

Brilliant characters tell an amazingly thought out and well exicuted storyline with a ending which even i didn't see coming.

It would be great on screen as it has a the tension of a movie thriller(Hunt for Red October), and i would love to see it been transefered to the screen.

If you are thinking of reading it - and you can read it while listening to music as i did - try listening to some John Williams movie music it helps it move along.

Can't wait for Kilo Class

Very, very disappointing
After the interest grabbing introductory chapters this book suddenly jams the breaks on and proceeds to lumber along at a tedious pace, not quite knowing what to do with itself, or... Read more

Could have done with some good editing
Absolutely cracking story but cutting down on the repetitions would have moved the story along and shaved about 100 pages off. Read more

A modern nautical yarn but by no means a classic

Nothing unique except maybe the author's writing style
The book is interesting however you relay must like description to last through this. The author Patrick Robinson spends a lot more time on detail than he does story. Read more
