Product Description

Product Description

Nilfisk Multi 30T is a great Wet & Dry vacuum cleaner ideal for applications at home and work. The machine is suitable for vacuuming both liquids and dry debris and is an ideal machine for chasing dusts from your powertool with the plug and chase function. The plug and chase feature is the ideal partner for powertools when you are drilling and cutting and you need to reduce the amount of dust from the application. When you start drilling the vacuum automatically switches on and extracts any dust or mess. The vacuum then cuts out automatically a few seconds after the power tool has finished working saving you time and effort starting and stopping the vacuum manually. What you get with the Multi 30 T is a large capacity 30L container and 1400W high power motor for strong suction performance. The wet & dry robust plastic filter, can be easily removed and washed so no need to change filter when collecting dry dust and liquids.Water drain outlet for easy emptying of the container. Push & Clean filter cleaning system cleans the filter and stops major loss of suction from fine dusts, when you press the filter cleaning button when cleaning the system blasts air from outside the machine directly onto the filter with powerful pulses of air quickly removing fine dust and improving suction power in dry dust removal conditions.Multi comes with blow function system for removing dust from hard to reach areas and can be used for inflating applications with Multi accessories. Quick park accessories for simple storage of hose and tube. The Multi 30T is not just a home dry vacuum cleaner it is your Multi cleaning vacuum.

It's a OK dust extractor, ok value for the money.

A very negative aspect is that this extractor is not anti static.
The hose, the case, absolutely everything acts like a dust magnet.
You can't even just wipe it off, you need to shower it off with water.

Also very negative is the use of power tools with the provided socket.
If you turn off your power tool, the extractor will go off instantly and will not run for another few seconds.
Also the extraction engine is dependent of how much watt/power/energy your tool uses, this means if you use for example a small/low powered sander or a circular/plunge saw on lower speed the extractor will be also on low speed!
This might be useful in some situations but I would prefer it on maximum extraction or a manual regulation.
If you turn the extractor into manual mode the power tool socket will not work anymore.

The hose and pipes etc are also not sooo good, but it's ok.

Update: To filter out fine dust (sanding/cement etc) I recommend the Numatic Hepa Flo NVM-3AH dust bags (they fit very well).
A pack of 10 cost around £10-15.

Update: The basket, where you put and screw on the wet/dray filter cartridge started to fall off.
this basket is just clipped in instead of screwed in. This means the basket and filter is just falling off during operation.
I just glued it on and it working now (let's see for how long)

What a poor vacuum from Nilfisk. I am half Danish myself, and have a 50 year old Nilfisk that is still going strong, with 1000 hours of problem free use.

This posh all singing all dancing machine burnt out after only 2 to 3 hours of use. It was 15 months old, and I had only just started to use it. Nilfisk did not want to know.

The only job it ever really did was to vacuum out the dust in the attic of a chapel in South Wales. I did not use a dust bag - I was washing out the wet and dry filter when needed - as the vacuum has a special button to press when the filter gets clogged up. A selling point of the vacuum is that it is not supposed to need a dust bag.

What probably killed the motor was the fact that 50% of the dust was probably coal dust, which probably conducts electricity, and could be flammable. A tiny percentage of that must have got through the filter and attacked the brushes and stator - when I took it in to be serviced I was told that it need a new motor - a total cost of more than a new machine - after paying the service agent £24 to find out what was wrong!

The vacuuming tube is thin bendy plastic. Unbelievably annoying to use. You have to pull it to make it work properly. At which point the very poor plastic attachment at the end of the hose falls off the tube. So you have to tape it up. And then untape it every time you want to vacuum without the tube and floor attachment. Which could be every few minutes if you have to clear dust from a ledge etc etc. What an extraordinarily frustrating experience. From a Nilfisk vacuum!

It is very hard to be polite about what I had thought was going to be a very well spent £140. The machine is useless. Its accessories are useless. Product support from Nilfisk is useless.

Bought this for my property maintenance business for use as a gutter vacuum, and at 7.5m of gutter poles it still has the suction to clear out large clumps of grass and water. Works in the rain, and sun just fine and for the price is a brilliant vac.
Recommend to anyone.

shame the basic principle of small to large in the air flow of the suction tubes is ignored so the tubes keep blocking with anything other than dust.... for a workshop vaccumm this is a mager design flaw from one of the best vacuum manufactures in the business.

good quality, suction and blow v/g. cord length and hose length very good
The facilitys, re auto tool switch on excellent.
Mobility v/g wheels look to last well.
Instruction booklet, I suggest a rewrite!
Tools , Ive had better with an cheap(£25) bagless cleaner ,from which I used the floor tool , with an adapter I made to fit the Nilfisk hose which it selfe is a vg design,( floor tool swivel ,leaked dust , so binned it )There was another bell shaped tool which fitted nothing either on the vacuum or any of my power tools, !!!!? The very expensive bags Im sure Ill find some thing else (£10 for 5, I don't think so)
However this is meant for my home workshop/garage and dispite minor things , Its worth 5 star.Ill try its wet side another day

Good with water although the cut out appears to act too slowly. Very noisy machine, the tools and hose are not very good quality and the hose is quite narrow for heavy duty applications.
