This looks to be the newest 'release' or 'packaging' of the Nilfisk C120 3-6 as of end of 2011 and it is definately the best value for money you can get on this product. I know as I had been umming and ahhing on buying this model for a few months now , and as a result had a number of these in my Amazon wish list for a while and have seen the price flucuating between 100 and 150 for a model with similar features to this one. Therefore to see this one come onto Amazon for less then 100 seemed too good to be true so I decided to make the plunge but buy it straight away.
Spent a few hours using it today and am to be honest amazed at how easy it is to use and the results you can get. To give perspective , I have never used a pressure washer before , yet an hour or so later I was staring at a sparkling clean patio for the first time ever - and what's more had a smile on my face after doing 'work'!
The description shows what's in the box so I wont list that , just to say that this model has the more expensive Patio cleaner plus for the price of other Nilfisk packages which include the budget version so that's definitely a bonus.
Pros
- Feels sturdy , easy to put together if you follow the instructions ( See cons )and has locations to put all your accessories , different nozzles etc so that you can store the whole thing in a corner without fear of losing bits ( kind of like the Dyson vacuum cleaner if you have one! )
- Its fantastically powerful , was able to clean a very dirty patio quickly having never done it before. Can't comment yet about the robustness over time , but using it for over an hour it continued going strong without issue
- Has loads of accessories so you can wash your car with a car brush , clean your pipes or even your toilet with a special pipe. Haven't used these yet , but to get these all for the cheap price really is a bargain
- The Patio plus cleaner works a treat and does clean the patio quicker then the lance . At first found it hard to use , but once I realised that you just need to 'glide' it over the patio like a hovercraft it is fantastic . If you push down too hard it flips up and water goes everywhere , but just lift it up and glide it and it will work. Note you will need to wear wellies / waterproofs on when using the patio cleaner as water comes out in all directions from below , it doesn't splash upwards but does get the ground all around wet unlike the lance which you can angle away from yourself.
Cons
- Instructions are quite basic, with some pictures and a CD rom . Being a typical user I just ignored the CD rom and put together what I could - which then left me with a few bits I did not know what to do with . Giving up trying to guess I loaded up the CD rom and it had a fantastic 2 min video of how to put everything together which was great. I have put this in the Cons since it is a bit of a pain to have to check a CD for the full instructions , however that said the actual instructions and videos on the CD rom are great and can't be faulted .
- The patio plus cleaner comes with some 'bits' which initially you have no idea what to do with them . If you flip the patio plus cleaner over , you need to put these bits on the underside of the cleaner where the water comes out, they are essentially the jet heads for the cleaner. I dont mind doing this myself , however I have put it as a con as
1)the instructions aren't clear ( the CD rom contains instructions for the main cleaner not this accessory ) ,
2) its quite fiddly to put them in and
3)If you look at the rest of the patio plus cleaner it has a lot of other similar pieces put together in a similar way with the same clips - therefore not sure why they didn't just bother to do this part
All in all at its current price under £100 it is an absolute steal , I would have paid a lot more next summer probably for a set which didn't have as much as this one has to offer. The cons I have mentioned are very small and are only initial annoyances , which are forgotten once you get to use this great machine. Well done Nilfisk for a great package , I am suitably impressed!
