UR-E3 Converter Adapter 29 Aug 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Basically an idiot proof adapter that replaces the standard lens of you Nikon Coolpix 775 when you use optional lenses. This adapter is required if you want to upgrade your lens to a TC-E2 2X Tele Converter lens Lens or a WC-E63 Wide Angle Converter Lens. They are cheap enough that I have one attached to each of my optional lenses at all times so I can quickly switch between lenses.

Be sure of the model 11 Feb 2002

I bought this thinking it would work on my Coolpix 5000, but it appears to be intended solely for the 775 (I think that's the number). Seems like a nice device, might be worth many stars, but it just doesn't fit a 5000.
