This is the first external flash I have bought for my Nikon D80, so I can't compare with other flashes. It's easy to mount and operate. The tilt feature is great. I use it mostly for the quick family pictures indoors; here it does a great job, much better than the internal flash on the camera. Recommended.

Photos look so much better when you take pictures in proper light. This little, tiny, light add-on Nikon SLR flash will fit in any camera bag and in 95% of time for the average user will give all the light needed for proper picture taking especially indoors.
As it is so small and light it always travels with my camera in the same small camera bag. It even has a tilted head for bounce flash photography.
A must have for any average Nikon SLR user.

This is the cheapest of the Nikon Speedlight range. There's no fancy controls. It simply slots in, then you lock it into position and switch on. Even with just 2 AA batteries to power it, it recycles really fast and seems to go on forever. With my Nikon D80, exposure is great. It just works.
Add a Sto-fen diffuser and you'll get the best from it. If you switch from the built in flash to using this speedlight you'll never go back to the cold, harsh illumination that's OK but not quite right.
Use this and you'll spend more time on composing better photos rather than worrying about the light. Recommended.
