I bought this item for my Nikon D2x, i already have the DK-19 rubber eyecup, both the items work well together and are very easily fitted together, the magnification of the DK-17m is perfect and with it protruding away from the camera takes your face away from the rear monitor, this is a great product and would highly recommend it.
While I can't usually fault Nikon products (I have always used Nikon SLR and DSLR cameras and equipment), I was slightly dissapointed with the DK-17M magnifying eyepiece. It is incredibly fiddly and awkward to attach...at first, I was worried there was a fault with the one I had purchased as it did not seem to want to screw in to the cameras viewfinder.
After nearly 20 mins, I finally attached it, and once I had I was perfectly happy with it.
I had also purchased seperately a Nikon rubber eyecup, which the instructions that came with the DK-17M state can also be used at the same time...I was reluctant to remove it again after all the trouble of getting it attached in the first place, but after another 10 minutes of unscrewing and removing parts of it, I had attached the rubber eyecup and the magnifying eyepiece to the camera.
A good product, but as I have said, slightly dissapointed that it is so awkward to attach to the camera.
