5.0 out of 5 stars Nikon D600 Experience- Kindle Edition 22 Nov. 2012
By kj17
Format:Kindle Edition
This is I believe the first available Guide for The Nikon D600 and in my view is most useful. I am an experienced Nikon DSLR user but have always found that the Nikon Manuals only give the information on How to adjust settings etc whereas this guide explains in text and illustrations what the settings and variations do and what effects the settings have on the end result. As well as many figures there are also numerous Photographs showing various effects and results. This guide will be equally valuable to everyone whether or not they have any previous experience with Nikon DSLR's and especially if , like me, the D600 is an upgrade from DX to FX format. I now have this on my iPad in my photo bag with the Camera. If you have a D600 you need this guide or if you are thinking of getting one this guide will make you want to get it asap. Well worthy of 5 stars.

The book has helped me a great deal. Mostly, because I could refer back to it continually whilst using the camera. a good learning source.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just another instruction manual. 21 April 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
If you're able to read the user guide provided with the camera then there is little point in buying this.

I thought that this book might offer some insights into making creative use of the many features of the camera, but unfortunately it is nothing more than a rewritten user guide. For some the language and style may make it a little more accessible than the Nikon instruction manual but I was disappointed and returned the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth a read 17 Jan. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you invest a lot in a new camera its well worth learning how to use it - this book is relatively cheap and if it helps improve your photos by just a couple of % its worth it. I have been using Nikon DSLRs for many years so I already know most of the general operations, however with every camera there are a few new items, things that have changed and maybe a few old things that you had forgotten about as you did not use them in the past but now they are of more interest as your photography evolves / you have mastered areas and what to try out something new or more complex. I read cover to cover but would also work just to look up a particular area.

Regardless of your skill level this is a very good addition to the manual that comes with the camera
