Simple Pink Camera,
By
This review is from: Nikon Coolpix L19 Digital Camera - Shiny Pink (8MP, 3.6x Optical Zoom) 2.7 inch LCD (Electronics)
I wanted to buy a camera as a gift for someone who wanted one that it was Pink...
This Nikon Coolpix L19 has some reasonable reviews is a new model so I ordered it from Amazon. Good points Its very Pink It uses AA batteries- good for those teenagers that would simply lose the charger or forget to ever charge the battery. Very simple to use Its cheap compared to other cameras Its from a very well know brand. Pictures taken outside are not bad quality. Came very quickly from Amazon. Uses SD cards which are cheap and a common standard. Its 8 Megapixel which is fine and a lot better than those cheap supermarket digitals. Bad points The easy Auto mode seems to produce really dreadful pictures so just use the normal auto. I think this because by the time the camera has worked out what the auto settings should be you have given up and already pressed the shutter... It eats the AA batteries. Pictures taken by flash are not that good. In overall terms its not a bad camera for the price but don't expect to much for this amount of money and you will be quite happy with it.

NIKON COOLPIX L19 DIGITAL,

This review is from: Nikon Coolpix L19 Digital Camera - Shiny Pink (8MP, 3.6x Optical Zoom) 2.7 inch LCD (Electronics)
FIRST CLASS IMAGES & BRILLIANT VALUE FOR MONEY-
CONSIDERING RECHARGEABLE AA BATTERIES AS IT DOES USE POWER QUITE QUICKLY ESPECIALLY IF USING THE FLASH. IT'S A LITTLE BULKIER THAN I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE BUT THE WEIGHT/BALANCE IS EXCELLENT. WE HAVE BOUGHT A 2gb CARD WHICH PROVIDES PLENTY OF CAPACITY INCLUDING THE VIDEO FILM SETTING- THIS IN PARTICULAR IS SUPERB & EQUAL QUALITY WITH A VIDEO CAMERA WHICH COST MUCH MORE. FOR COST/QUALITY THIS CAMERA TAKES SOME BEATING!

Complete Rubbish,
By
This review is from: Nikon Coolpix L19 Digital Camera - Shiny Pink (8MP, 3.6x Optical Zoom) 2.7 inch LCD (Electronics)
This is the worst digital camera I have ever bought. Occasionally it takes a nice sharp picture, but those are few and far between. Some of the faults it has are (in no particular order):
- Flash cannot be controlled on some programmes, so it takes a low-light photo without using the flash and you get camera-shake or motion blur and there's nothing you can do about it. - Flash charges extremely slowly - Occasionally freezes up when you press the shutter, so you loose the shot and have to take out the batteries to re-boot it. - Only uses the first 25% of alkaline batteries before it says they're "exhausted". Slightly better on rechargeables. - Regularly refuses to start up until the battery compartment has been opened and closed, even on good batteries. - Flash over-exposes on many of the auto programs - Face recognition only works 10% of the time. - Frequently refuses to focus on first attempt, so you have to start composing the shot again. - The "flash charging" indicator often refuses to go out while you're focusing the next shot. - Focus is very vague and it's rare to get a sharp picture, whatever programme you use. If none of those issues are important to you then it's a good value camera, but if you care about your photos, do yourself a favour and don't buy this camera.
