I like to use a viewfinder. The quality of the image is obviously not as good and can be a bit grainy and lacking contrast in low light, just like the rear screen. The dioptre adjustment is essential to use the EVF for focusing, which isn't as easy as an optical viewfinder. It takes a bit of getting used to, but its a very capable camera, though does take some learning. Its asset is the compact size which makes it possible to have with you most of the time and the image quality is excellent. I'd rather have the EVF than just a rear screen.
