Miss Nash, thank you for your question. The camera takes two AA. The only ones that give any kind of life are Duracell, anything else gives up after a very short space of time. Using the camera has been O.K. but only O.K. It is simple to operate and has basic functions but no sophistication at all. I am still using it although, if I am honest and had my time over again, I would probably have gone for a more up to date and therefore more expensive model. Certainly one that was rechargable. Yes, date stamp is done atomatically whenever you take a photo. You're prob better off buying some photo paper and then printing your own photos through a lap top/pc with a compatible san disk, it's really easy with the right technology. Hope that helps. T.C.R

if you mean does this have capacity for micro sd cards yes i have a 4 gig in mine but you can go a lot higher in memory if you want to, hope this helps.

Really pleased with this camera - quality of photos, ease of uploading to computer etc but sorry, have not used it in low light.

Yes. There is a small speaker in the camera.
