Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought these binoculars for cruising and safari wildlife viewing. I used to be in the Royal Navy where constant use of binoculars on the bridge was the norm. Navy binoculars are very good quality, but nothing like these. I have been amazed at the quality. Nikon optics are up there with the best in the world (that is why they are used in satellites). The 50mm diameter lets in lots of light, there is no distortion with the excellent lenses and at maximum zoom, the effects are awesome, I have never before experienced such magnification and clarity. There is criticism in other reviews about the weight, not a problem for me, and lack of waterproofing - not necessary for most use. At this price, less than one third the RRP, for these magnificent binoculars, they are an absolute bargain. They also come with a tripod adaptor, a quality case, a typical Nikon wide strap that they put on their cameras and a 10 year guarantee. At this price, there is no beter buy for such quality binoculars.

Very good product, although a little heavy to hold for prolonged periods of time, a very good pair of binoculars with excellent view range!

We were given two pairs of these Binoculars as a present before we went on Safari to Kenya. They were the best present we could have had. They are easy to use the zoom is fantastic and the quality of the image is fantastic.
Neither of us found them too heavy.
Our guide and spotter both preferred using our binoculars to their own.
I know nothing about binoculars and have never had any others to compare with but what can I say. They seemed to be just what we needed.
