Misplaced the original cap on a photo shoot recently. Panic as I never leave lenses unprotected... Ordered one from Amazon which arrived the following day about the same time as I found the original... At this price I am happy to have a spare!

I got this as a replacement cap for my Canon 17-55 EF-S 2.8. Works better than the Canon one and is very easy to take off and put back on while the hood is on. Like the center grips.

I bought one of these as a replacement for my Canon lens cap as they are, by all accounts, easier to get on and off the lens (particularly when using a hood) than Canon lens caps owing to the larger and more central area to pinch. Thought I'd go with a Nikon branded one partly for the irony of putting it on a Canon lens, but also in the hope that it would be of a higher quality than a non-branded version. Can't speak for the non-branded versions, but this one seems well built and I'm very pleased with it.
