Love it. 1 Aug 2011

I love this little gem. It's eye relief is long enough I can keep my glasses on while using it. I didn't realize how handicapped I was before, wearing glasses and using short eye relief optics.

Steps to using short eye-relief optics: Remove glasses, find a safe place to put them down, get out the binoculars, hope I can still spot the target without my glasses on.

Steps to using long eye-relief optics: Hold to eye.

Another advantage to using with glasses, is I don't have to adjust the focus for my weirdo eyeballs, which means I can share it with my wife, and she doesn't have to readjust it to HER weirdo eyeballs (she also wears glasses)

The image is bright and crisp. 5x magnification isn't great, but is adequate for casual viewing while hiking, etc. One the plus side, with 5x is easy to hold the image steady (I have read a lot how a monocular is more difficult to hold steady, with one hand and all)

This baby is small enough, that I just put it in my pants pocket. Another advantage as far as I am concerned.

PS: I was not aware this product was discontinued(?) I did not have any problem purchasing it through Amazon.

This is the best you can get and not made in China like most are. Only problem is Nikon no longer makes it so you need to shop around to find someone who has one left over. You will not find a better product. Good luck hunting for it.
