I was a bit hesitant in buying this item. Due to the fact of looking at this immage online and seeing what looked like a chunk out of the eyepiece. Ignore this, I dont mind taking a picture of it to get better detail :P
It was recieved in good condition ( withought the nibble as shown by the picture :P )
Thought I thought it was a little pricey. Didnt take long to recieve it in the post. Should last me a long time. Fits well on my Nikon D200, and its supprising how much difference it makes in high light conditions.
Id recomend people to buy this item. When doing photography I have heard it will stop unwanted light entering the eyepiece and causing alterations with immages. Ive not tested this kind of theory. But I also remember reading that if a camera is supported via tripod on remote withought the user looking through it, it is strongly recomended to cover the eyepiece, so to me it does sound quite important to prevent light spill from entering the eyepiece. Its much easier to see the immage as well, which of course can be quite an advantage :P

Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this for my girlfriend after she lost the eyepiece to her Nikon D90. It arrived promptly, and, without doubt, it is a genuine Nikon article being identical to that supplied with the camera. The only thing I can add is that although it does not say so in the spec on this page, it also fits the Nikon D3100 perfectly too which is our second DSLR. The Amazon price undercut our normally competitive local camera shop by around 50%.

Be careful the Eyepiece is a very loose fit and if you are carrying your camera over your shoulder it will easily slide off never to be seen again.
