This blend is elaborated with grain and malt from Miyagikyo and malt from Yoichi Distillery. Nikka from the barrel is matured in first-fill bourbon casks and is a perfect balance of the Japanese whisky styles.

Quite remarkable. Definitely not styled on a 'scotch whiskey' - this is very powerful and rich, after dinner sipping; perhaps with a nod towards a bourbon or even armagnac. Despite the strength its smooth enough to sip neat, with a finish that goes on and on. Sugared almonds, rich barley, the faintest hint of smoke, vanilla oak, damp fern or bracken.
At 50Cl and 6" tall its ideal to pack in your suitcase when working away.
My 3rd bottle. worth seeking out - I guess you will either love it or hate it, Just dont expect a Scotch Whiskey lookalike
