Three years earlier, on a warm November morning in 1999, Adrienne Willis had returned to the Inn and at first glance had thought it unchanged, as if the small Inn were impervious to sun and sand and salted mist. Read the first page

It was not difficult to guess how this book would end. Very early it became clear, and for a moment I wondered about the point of reading it all, since I knew the ending anyway. But luckily, something pulled. I continued reading every word and got deeply touched by this beautiful, yet realistic, story about true love. The joy when it happens and - as the book says - the tragedy when it ends. The greater the love, the worse the tragedy.

It's an amazing story. A story about how four days can change three people's lives. Adrienne, Paul and Paul's son Mark.

This is not a book to hurry through, in spite of the page-turning quality. It's a book for afterthought. A book to devour. A book which makes you stop and reflect on what is important in life, in people. To search under the surface. To question racing through life in order to obtain success, money, fame. Never enough. Never too fast. Blind to what really matters.

Life is short. The saying "it's never too late" is not true. Sometimes it IS too late. Finding happiness is precious. However long it lasts, it's important and its aftermath may change a life forever.

Nicholas Sparks does not only write for romantics. "Nights in Rodanthe" is a realistic story. Tenderly told and with much insight into the human mind and heart.

We are not so different after all. We all want peace of mind, love, security, happiness.

As the author well knows.

It seems almost impossible that a man can fall in love so deeply with a woman he had known withnin a week.Although the plot isn't very strong,Sparks writing's very smooth and thus the story is tender and poignant. This is a very touching story and it has also imparted some values to me.....I highly recommend this book!!!!!

After reading most of Nicholas Sparks' books I had high standards for this one and I was not disappointed. It was full of the romance I had come to expect from these books. Well worth the money paid for it. A must for all of Nicholas sparks fans everywhere.
