This is a good compilation. There are some wonderful tracks on this CD, and there are also some that really don't ring my bell at all, and sound kinda average to my ears. However it is a cheap CD and well worth its price. My only real disappointment is that the title track ('Nights in White Satin') is actually a rather rubbish 'Live' recording. I hate most 'Live' recordings (just a personal thing I suppose) - nevertheless the remaining 17 tracks are all the original studio recordings that you would expect.

Believe it or not, at 50 yrs of age this was my first purchase of Moody Blues material, and bought to get a better taste of their range...other than simply the big hits. Overall happy with my selection and the fact I continue to listen to it speaks volumes.

Recommended for entry level, and to give the opportunity to delve into the back catalogue if so desired.

I have always like the Moody Blues and this CD is great. I would recommend this CD to anyone who remembers the 70's music.

Did not get the chance to read back cover before purchase. Had I seen that it was a live recording then my money would have stayed in my pocket. Would advise any lover of The Moody Blues music to stick to the studio versions. This one is not worth the money!

A trip down memory lane these songs are as good as ever. I had forgotten how much I loved them. The only disappointing one was Nights in White Satin as it was a live recording and thus the quality was poor. Song of course brilliant.

This is a good complilation of the band, covering the period 1967-1991; nevertheless, I only liked the songs until 1981. 'Nights In White Satin', 'I'm Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band)' and 'The Voice' are (or should be) classics. Recommended to all rock fans (if you can stand the worst cover art in musical history).

I agree with "Catman" this cd is ruined by the first track, a totally crap "live" version of Nights in White Satin. I wish I'd read his review before buying. There's some other iffy tracks, but they're not total crap or live.
