the reason i rented this movie is because i read a decent review of it - well whoever wrote that should be prosecuted for some sort of deception offence. three words to describe this film - terrible. terrible . terrible.
the plot is non existent, the acting is awful and the script laughable. if you think it must be ok because it has nicole kidman in it, think again.the only slightly redeeming factor is the fact that you can laugh at the daft 80's hairdos. dont get this film - you will regret losing one and a half hours of your life.

Only gave it one star because it's not possible to give no stars.
I take that star back. This is a no-star film:
I don't like to be critical: at least all the people involved in making this film actually got off their bum's and went out and made a film, which is lots more than I ever did, but...
The film they made was almost utterly pointless. It doesn't even begin to try to make any sense. It has no kind of a plot worth the effort of describing.
It's Rubbish on toast. Dire. Don't listen to the couple of lunatics on IMDB who said it was in some way good. They are wrong.
There is no "ironic" cheese value to be had. It is like a long, strange, grey, soul-sucking eternity in a dentist's waiting room, listening to a radio relaying the sound of a dreary man reciting a William Burroughs style mix-up of his tax return and a Reader's Digest edition of a Samuel Beckett play, except that that makes it sound more interesting than it is.
Please avoid it like anybody's business.

i'm embarrassed to say i watched this. I want to give it nought!! I thought it was boring, stupid, the acting sucked and everything about it screamed 'this is what you get for buying a cheap film!!!' I agree totally with the other reviewer, don't be fooled into thinking this will be good because it has Nicole Kidman in it because if anything it makes her out to be a rubbish actor which i know she isn't!!My advice is don't bother, watch some paint dry instead, you'll have a more riveting couple of hours.
