I saw this film many years ago and to be honest I was not expecting much from it. In musical terms it had a soft rock feel to it’s script, just not enough substance to allow you to take it seriously, or so I thought. As the storyline progressed I realized that matters were not so easily predicted. Although this film had a fairly formulaic approach, “goodies vs. baddies”, you were never quite sure how it would get there. I liked the story, the acting was good, the whole thing had a girls on holiday feel to it, and then the action starts. It offered good suspension levels, and you never quite knew where the storyline was taking you. At the closing of the film normal order is restored, but you feel it’s been quite a ride! So in effect this is a much better story and a more enjoyable film to watch than I was expecting. When I bought this DVD I was fully expecting to enjoy the ride as much as I did the first time round. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be because there were technical issues with the copy I had. I have to say that the transfer across to DVD was very poor. In fact it is the worst picture quality I’ve ever seen in a DVD, this rendered the film almost beyond viewing. It’s a terrible shame because it did spoil the experience in what was, in most other respects, an entertaining ride. I would thoroughly recommend the film but try to find a better quality DVD offering.
