Product Description
Pinky (Jordan) is released from prison and has decided to go straight from now on, but takes a job as a maintenance man at a large bank, which gives him a lot of undue attention from Ivan the Terrible(Niven), the local hoodlum. By using Pinky, Ivan hopes to rob the bank and Pinky starts to liken to the idea of going back to his old ways.

This is a brilliant period piece of tounge-in-cheek humour and with David Niven in the leading role you know it's going to have merit. A hapless gang of robbers plan to rob a bank in Berkley Square. All sorts of mishaps seem to thwart their plans until finally an 'nightingale' snitches on them. The storyline is plausable and never decends into farce. Great entertainment.

First saw this film on TV years ago , cant even remember the channel it was on - , a good plot and some excellent characters in the film, just when you think Pinky is going straight along comes Ivan and his heavies only to realise he now has a job in a bank - quite an underrated film aswell but well worth watching again, like the theme music to this film.

I actually purchased this dvd a year or so back.,I had seen it on TV,and thought it was one of the
best comic films of its kind.But I was so dissapointed with the quality (it must have been a copy) .although it was in colour the prevailing hue was pink,which was most disconcerting when viewing.I am pleased to see that it has now been re issued and am going to pre order,and look forward to seeing it again ( without the pink)
