I like dark fantasys set in strange places. This one had me on the edge of my seat. I've never been to Rarotonga but I'd like to go there now to see the scenes in the book. I like the way the author brings in all the atmosphere of a tropical island and the rainforest. Very spooky. Sometimes your heart's in your throat and you don't want to go to bed.
