5.0 out of 5 stars Every movie needs one of these 8 Feb 2012
What a great start to the film 'Drive', a killer and distinctive song playing along to great shots of a man driving through the streets of L.A. The 80's sound reminds me of 'Assault on Precinct 13'. I'll be playing this in my car although I doubt it is quite as cool driving around Lancashire than driving in L.A. Although come to think of it I live in 'Lower' Adlington 'L.A' so there's some comparison to draw on however rubbish it is.

3.0 out of 5 stars Almost a work of art. 1 Feb 2012
Format:MP3 Download
Kavinsky seems to have succeeded here where many have failed and created something truly '80s elecro sounding only better. Trouble is it it sounds like '80s music that's played on FM radio, it sufferers from too much pointless hyper compression the most modern music does and it achieves nothing except to make me not want to listen to songs even though I like them, my ears can't take it.

5.0 out of 5 stars "IM GIVING YOU A NIGHTCALL" 27 July 2012
By Derek - Published on Amazon.com
Holy crap! Kavinsky is awesome. I initially heard the song Nightcall in the movie Drive and immediately downloaded it that night. Now I play this song whenever I'm working out, driving, or doing anything else that I'd want to feel badass. For bonus points, chew on a toothpick.

If you like the song, you'll like this short album of mostly remixes. Interesting 80s style, and if you like Metric, TransX, etc you'll enjoy this.

Every track on this album is awesome, but there is only a few songs plus remixs, your money is probably spent better on another album.

I kept hearing this song in various place this spring and sort of stopped listening to whoever I was with for a while to figure out why it was familiar. Each time I heard it for a while, it seemed remotely familiar like I had heard it in the 1980's. Then, I did some research and discovered a Daft Punk connection, which Instantly made sense. This whole synth pop genre going on lately brings me back to thinking about the 1980's. I dig this song.
