ok...these books have been reprinted and made generally more up to date

1st theres Dark Angel where an "angel" helps normal boring Gillian become more popular and confident.

2nd one is The Chosen. This is my favourite out of all the Night World books so far. It's about vampire hunter Rashel who finds out her soulmate is evil vampire Quinn.

Finally theres Soulmate where Hannah Snow realises she has had many lives and that he soulmate Thierry has been searching for her in all of them.

I love all these books not just because of all the romance but they also have action and some of the descriptions are quite gory. I'd recommend them to anybody as they are brilliant (:

read it!!

If you saw my review on book one of the night world, you'll know I went out immediately and bought this.... and I wasn't disappointed.

I have to admit, I preferred the first book to this one, but maybe it's because the first one made me fall in love with the whole night world concept.

Three short stories in one book again... excellant writing, great plots and the usual, but still wonderful 'soulmate' endings, leaving the reader happy and fullfilled.

This series of books is excellent, ive read all but one of the books which is the 10th due to l,j smith having some issues with it, however i would strongly suggest these books if your looking for excitement, danger, forbidden love, magic i could go on they have it all!
If you do read these its best to read them all and in order because the characters pop up all over so it stops any confusion :)
L,j smith draws you into the story and makes you feel like you are actually there id recommend all the books and cant wait until strange fate comes out!!!

She turns into a very popular and cool girl, but as soon as her dreams start coming true, she finds out who she really is. And when she finally understands Angel's real nature she also realises that he wants something back. Will she succeed in getting herself out of trouble?

Now she's seventeen and a ruthless and strong vampire hunter. She's the cat and vampires fear her. All three stories in this Night World installment are captivating and exciting. In particular I loved the second section 'The Chosen' which follows the complicated romance of vampire hunter Rashel and the infamous vampire John Quinn. L J Smith truly ventures all corners of paranormal literature and with fast moving plots and interconnected characters it is impossible not to become involved in the story. The other two sections are both pleasing and fast moving but 'Dark Angel' for me lacked the epic action scenes and mind boggling storylines present in the other two sections whilst also involving corny hight school drama which was not neccessary. Overall this is a good novel and a perfect holiday read. It is good for people who can't read the same thing for too long. Enjoy.

actually I just finished reading all three books which are actually 9 co-insisting stories in these books, I liked the way they connected to each other and that they were all after the same thing which was to eventually save the human race, but I must say it seemed to have finished without an ending, just plot finished, I wonder if there will be another book or what, I am rather perturbed by the fact that it was unresolved all the love and romances and the human race being saved, so surely there must be another book right? Anyway I am waiting to see if she will write another one. Anyway I still recommend it cos it is beautifully written and the stories are always different with different characters go for it.

This volume contains the next three books in the series and brings us three new stories packed full of unforgettable characters, danger and forbidden love. In this collection, a girl receives messages from what she believes is her guardian angel, but things are not as they seem; a vampire and vampire hunter may be on opposite sides but cannot fight their growing attraction; and an evil vampire will stop at nothing to prevent two lovers from being together, but it seems not even death can keep them apart. The last two novels, The Chosen and Soulmate are two of my favourites and among the most powerful that L. J. Smith has written in my opinion.
