I first saw this concert on video when it came out in 83 and have watched it so many times I've worn out the tape! Lou was back with a killer band, mixing new songs with some classic velvets tracks and in top form playing before an enthusiastic hometown audience which also included a certain Andy Warhol. As soon as I bought a DVD player I had to have this one, but was immediately disappointed by the sound quality, which seems much worse than I remember the original VHS. However, this shouldn't put you off from buying this. Lou rocks!

lou's best band featuring the late great robert quine good combination of classics and current . robert quine one of the great guitarists somewhat restrained on here but worth the price just to see and hear the great man himself. check out richard hell and the voidoids to see the best of robert quine. recorded at the time of blue mask and legendary hearts some of lous best stuff. a great band!!

Hey....all new pretend rock bands, (you know who you are)...watch this and weep.
Life is too short for rubbish, Lou Reed will elevate you to a higher plain and then discard you.
Minimal, to the point, and transfixing.
