I bought this camera from BV-electronics via Amazon and plugged it in and had it fitted to my car. Wasn't at all bodged on my part we did a very professional install.
The camera worked at first so we drilled a hole in the rear bumper and mounted it. Still working (I was delighted) we aligned the camera and tested it. The next time I started my car however - the camera stopped working. There was no physical signs of damage to the camera - but starting the car must have caused a power surge strong enough to kill it.
I sent the camera back as faulty and it was replaced with another - which didn't work at all. I realised just how poor quality the cameras were. I informed the seller and they said they would send another one.
The item that did arrive was a Canon Extension Tube for converting a standard DSLR lens to a macro one. I told them straight away and they asked me to post this back myself at my own cost. I refused and said I was happy to arrange a collection time at their cost, but this wasn't my mistake!
They refused again and I am still left with the sodding Canon adapter. To add insult to it all I am a Nikon user!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT THROUGH 'BV-electronics'. You will end up with a random accessory in your drawer of random cables and a hole in the bumper of your car!

Bought this for my in car video system. Good bulky camera, can be powered from car or separate battery. Can be mounted in bumpers or box if required. Night vision is good even when cars are oncoming. Only downside is that the video in inverted (backwards), your viewing screen needs to be able to reverse the image. It would be nice to know which way round the image is before purchasing.
