This is some seriously innovative, creative stuff. Drawing on a wealth of beats, vocals, melodies and often blink-and-you-miss-it hooks from music stretching back over the last two decades and featuring sometimes dozens of elements per single track, this is a predominantly hip-hop based album of monumentally explorative music.
It's immediately obvious that many months of work has gone into this, and the reviewer who described it as something akin to a radio 'sting' couldn't be more wrong. If you know your music, you'll be pausing it every few seconds to remember where you heard 'that bit', but don't worry yourself because track listings are available online if you search for them.
This sets the benchmark for recontextualisation and bottom line just messing around with different genres and elements of music in a way that makes you wonder why they didn't make it that way to begin with because it sounds so good.

OK, first off, ignore the other dude's review. If you have an unslakeable desire for clever recontextualisation, look elsewhere. This album is a banger from start to finish, not something you listen to with a glass of cotes du rhone. It's an unbeatable party mix c/o non-DJ Gregg Gillis, over a hundred killer samples sewn together in under an hour, the perfect mix for todays ADD afflicted youth. Mashups aren't usually a lasting source of enjoyment, but Night Ripper has a rythmn and flow that makes it really feel like a proper album despite the frankenstein reality of its creation. It won't last forever, but you'll be able to wear out a copy before mashups aren't cool anymore.

Entertaining and catchy but comes across as a a bit of a novelty act. Listen to it once, giggle, and put it away again.
